Dreambreed

DREAMBREED History 1991 - 1998

There were two major constants over the seven years of DREAMBREED's life. The first was the relationship between Vocalist/Guitarist and Main song writer Dave Pybus and Drummer Gary Querns. They became musical partners in 1988 and they both played in two previous bands, ANUL DEATH (1988 - 89) and DARKENED (1989 - 91). They were also know to appear together in 3 other bands, one of which was the MISFITS cover band THE HATEBREEDERS (1990 - 91). The second was the fact that they had a studio session every year they were together, recording over 32 original songs on eight different occasions. Heres the list:

1991 - LIFE IS A HIDEOUS THING - Demo (6 Songs)
1992 - LOW - Demo (3 Songs)
1993 - THREE WORLDS - Demo (3 Songs)
1994 - NOVENA - Demo (4 Songs)
1995 - SOMETIME - CD (6 Songs, 3 of which were from previous demos)*
1996 - MISERY - Demo (4 Songs)
1997 - THE MISERY SESSIONS - Demo (6 Songs)
1998 - THE MISERY SESSIONS - Re-released Demo (7 Songs)*
*Still Available

There was also a home recorded demo in 1993 which featured 4 songs but was never released.

Dreambreed has a succession of bass players: Mike Rhodes (1991 -92), Paul Thornton (1994 - 96), Duncan Patterson (1996 - 98).

Live, Dreambreeds history was strange. Their strongest year was 1995, when they toured the UK 3 times with Bruce Dickinson (7 shows), Reef (3 shows) and My Dying Bride (7 shows). Other bands they appeared with were The Meteors (1991), Anathema (1993), Ship of Fools (1992, 93, 94, 95), Solstice (1993, 95) plus many headlining local shows with other unknown bands. Their last show was in July 1997 in Bradford which was Duncans only Live appearence.
